The Refuge began as an idea!

What would it be like to attend a church where people were loved no matter how much baggage they had, no matter how badly they had blown it, no matter where they were on their faith journey?

What would it be like to build tradition instead of just adhering to it?

What would it be like to learn how to more authentically love God and love people rather than learning how to follow a religion?

What would it be like if church was the safest place on earth?

Could such a place exist? And if so, could it be sustained?

On August 2, 2009, that idea became a reality...and we've only just begun!
